Those inclined to scoff at Dr. Austin Murphy's fears should
consider the disappearance of Usenet political analyst FLAME GIANT

fruit; the hopelessly shamed and embarrassed Yeltsin regime withdrew
from Chechnya.

Appendix 1: What are the roots of the Chechen tragedy?
Some right-wing propagandists have had the effrontery to blame the
Father of Peoples Himself, Who supposedly expelled the Chechen people
in reprisal for their alleged acceptance of German Fascist invaders in
1942. This is, from beginning to end, a ridiculous fabrication. Like
all the fraternal peoples of the USSR, the Chechens firmly supported
Soviet power and fought to the death in defense of Stalin and the
happy Socialist life. They were especially grateful to Comrade Stalin
for freeing them from extortions by kulaks and parasitical religious
obscurants. So notorious was the devotion of the Chechens to Comrade
Stalin, that they were treated with special viciousness by the fascist
invaders in 1942; they pleaded to Comrade Stalin for protection.
Answering their pleas, He moved their families to safety in the
interior of the USSR, while their menfolk did their part to defeat the
fascist hordes. (8 years later in 1952-53, this life-saving
evacuation would offer an appealing model for loyal Soviet Jews,
menaced by CIA-Zionist intrigues in the Western USSR. After the
tragic and unexpected demise of the Great Leader and Teacher, however,
nothing came of it.)
All went well for many years after the Great Patriotic War, until
CIA and other anti-Soviet elements, frustrated by the devotion
expressed everywhere by Chechen exiles to Comrade Stalin and the true
path of Socialism, arranged their removal from other Soviet
territories and their concentration into the northern Causasus region,
where they would be especially vulnerable to massacre by
CIA-controlled criminal cliques in Turkey, the Causasian successor
states, and the capitalist Yeltsin regime. The rest of the history is

Many of us have withdrawn from similarly desperate struggles for the

But what makes you so sure it is the same Bill Palmer, or, if so, that
he is a free agent? Reread my previous post. If you compare the
former FLAME GIANT with what we see now, you will notice a sharp
fall-off in the effectiveness of the current version. Don't be misled

Once again, numerous 300+ line postings in the distinctive Bill Palmer
style are appearing under E-mail address wilhelp@ix.netcom.com in
newsgroup alt.genius.bill-palmer.
Apparently the CIA, the Yeltsin regime, and their dirty-tricks crowd
couldn't stand the heat. Hundreds of netizens worldwide refused to
let Bill Palmer's name be forgotten. Many preserved the distinctive
"wilhelp" UserID in the public consciousness by taking out "wilhelp"
accounts from their respective ISPs. One Palmer activist even set up
a domain "www.wilhelp.com," dedicated to this inimitable Usenet
phenomenon.
One possible sour note, however: we still have not heard Bill Palmer
recently on the Chechen question. Is he still under intimidation?

Bill has this pile of a lot of crap, some of it neat crap--but it would be
nice if he would do something more with it, rather than park it off on the
side of Usenet. Unprocessed crap smells, and no-one wants to have to sort
through it.
